the mini drop that wasn’t so mini!
sometimes words may fail me, but larry david won’t.
expectations:
genuinely, my plan for this drop was to get the big rusty wheels turning again, give the kings that love it a chance to sneak some gear in, and try a few new things.
it was not a mini drop in the slightest.
a smidge under 50 orders has me at normal drop numbers. a pleasant surprise!
🥰 good bits 🥰
kings got around it. beyond grateful.
mystery tees were a bit of a risk. but i think they worked out great. first 3 orders no one ordered one and i was cursing myself as an idiot. but ended up doing a tonne!
my prep this time was elite. much less carnage and running around like a chook with its head cut off. i really enjoyed this drop. all the bliss of seeing orders come in. none of the stomach dropping panic of wondering how i’m going to deliver.
stocking levels were tight, tight, tight! starting to understand better demand and how much i need to have ready to go. so this was a great trial at selling out still, but not doing it within the first 24 hours knowing i’ve stitched myself up leaving a stupid amount of people pissed off.

😬 less than stellar bits 😬
i cooked one order (sorry pillzy) because he ordered 2 mystery tees and i’m so used to just reading separate line items on the order sheet, that i didn’t notice the “2 of 2”. whoopsie!

in hindsight, marketing could always be better.
i have an idea of what i think and could be doing. but haven’t managed to be able to execute those ideas. but alas:

📝future bits📝
i’m weighing up switching blank suppliers. the feel and quality of the hoodies and t-shirts i love, but i just straight up do not enjoy working with that particular manu. too many headaches. so the plan is to find someone who can recreate the same style and weight of what i’m currently working with1, but not be a pain in my butt. i’ve put this off long enough. and it’s time to rip the bandaid off.

i’ve also bit the bullet and gone balls to the wall on some upcoming orders of blanks and cut&sew items. like, a loooooot of stock (because the minimum order quantity was much higher for these pieces) is on its way. so i better move it or lose it.
pressure is building. but:
pressure is a privilege. it means things are expected of you.
so imma keep trying new things.
get weird.
get funky.
have fun with it.

⁉️ misc bits ⁉️
in summary, i have no idea what i’m doing.
bear with me.
